{Let's Yarn Along with Ginny today. Will you join in?}
I'm still in the millions of miles of stockinette phase on the pieces of my Wildflower Cardigan this week, so instead of sharing a field of gray with you on this last February yarn along, I thought I might share something a little more interesting.
Some finished socks- these are my New Year socks- I finished sock #1 on New Year's Eve and this sock on Sunday for a nice 2013/2014 crossover. I'm thankful for another pair of wool socks since it turned bitterly cold again yesterday and we had another dusting of snow. It was down to the toe decreases, and after a resounding Ravellenic "defeat" I wanted something with a quick pay-off.
Have you listened to the podcast yet? Episode 2 is out, and I talked this week about why handmade items are such an important part of our home. I'm sure you have your own reasons for making things, and I'd like to know what they are. Please share in comments or join the conversation in the "why do you make things?" thread in the podcast's Ravelry group.
identical twins!!! my socks are usually just fraternal twins, but every once in a while, I make the effort to match!
ReplyDeleteI have been listening to the podcast and I love it! Things got a bit hectic in the office yesterday so I wasn't able to finish listening to the last episode. Will definitely do that today. I like your socks - very matchy/matchy.
ReplyDeleteI was able to subscribe thru downcast app today :) I'll listen later!! Love love love your socks!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful socks! If there is anything I have learned from this polar vortex it is I need more handknit socks.
