{Yarning Along with Ginny…}
Last Friday night we were worn out.
Three weeks of packing plus work plus Christmas will do that to you.
That mini knitting retreat was the best remedy to if-I-have-to-pack-another-box-I’ll-scream-itis ever.
By 10 p.m. I was grafting the toe of the sock that only been a 4-inch cuff at 8 a.m. that morning. I might actually reach my tiny little sock knitting goal this year! And the bonus is that this was stash yarn, which totally counts for the stash challenge.
How has your knitting year started off?
All day knitting fest sounds wonderful! And it sounds like you made loads of progress! Even better that you used stash yarn too ;)
ReplyDeleteCongrats on meeting your sock goal! I love days spent at home :)
ReplyDeleteYour husband sounds like a very wise man! I am so glad you were able to rest and knit!
ReplyDeleteDon't you just love the Yarn Harlot? I think she is wonderful.
oh, an all-day knit fest, that sounds soooo good!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like just what the doctor ordered.
ReplyDeleteGood for you, Erin.
good for you!!! I did that last week when I had a few kids with sniffles...including myself...I agree it is very therapeutic!!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds heavenly! Good for you :)
ReplyDeleteOoo, a knitting day sounds perfect!
ReplyDeleteThat would be the perfect day and its what I'll be doing all day next Wednesday. Hubby asked what I wanted for my birthday and that was the best thing I could think of.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you got a break... those sliders look awesome!
ReplyDeleteToday I managed to pick up a sweater that I started for my grandson a year ago and pulled out the bad stuff and started on the good. It was satisfying to figure out my errors and set things right! I have to make time for this though because I'm swamped with other work these days...and I'm trying to exercise daily as well.
ReplyDeleteThe coveted/dreaded sock-knitting ability. I hope I'll have it someday. It'll be a while, though, as I've just started knitting my very first project--a scarf, surprise, surprise.

How nice that you made your own 'knitting retreat'! Great work using up some of your stash, too!!
